My favourite song at the moment is Turn Back Now by Liverpudlian torch singer Candie Payne.

It's a Portishead style pop song with a great melody. I really like the wedding bells/harp effect. I think the instruments were played by her brother who plays in another Liverpool band,

I read about Candie in the Guardian and was curious to hear what she sounded like. I downloaded the album and although I didn't like it too much at first, the more I played it the more it grew on me.

This song has interesting lyrics. I especially like the imagary that "devil's waiting at the door now" bring to mind in the context of the song.
